WHAT ARE SOFT GEL NAILS?
The Soft Gel technique is a method of nail extension using tips that adhere directly to the surface of the natural nail. The Soft Gel Nail Tips from Manicura24 are made of flexible plastic and have gained popularity for being a fast, comfortable and effective technique.
The peculiarity of Soft Gel Nail Tips lies in the flexibility of their material and in the great variety of shapes and lengths that exist, among which you can choose according to the style you prefer. Soft Gel Tips can be found in various types: stiletto, coffin, square or almond; all of them in different lengths. As they are prefabricated tips, they allow you to create nail extensions without the need for molds and tweezers.
Correct application of soft gel nails allows you to show off a very natural and beautiful result, as well as long, light and strong nails in just a few minutes.
HOW DO WE APPLY THE SOFT GEL NAIL TIP?
We detail the steps to apply permanent nail polish, from preparing the nail to the final shine.
1. Disinfect nails with disinfectant or 90% alcohol soaked in cotton.
2. Push the cuticle back with an orange stick or cuticle pusher and remove any remaining skin.
3. File the nail as much as possible without touching the skin.
4. Remove the shine from the natural nail with the buffing block. This step is important to ensure the product adheres to the nail.
5. Finish removing any remaining skin using cuticle nippers or scissors. It is important not to touch the nail with your fingertips to ensure adhesion.
6. Choose the right tip for each nail. If it is larger, finish adjusting it with a file, polishing the edges.
7. File the inside of the tip with the help of a drill and the lathe. File the cuticle area of the tip with the file and remove the dust.
8. Apply NailPrep to degrease the nail and Ultra-Bond Primer (acid-free adhesive) to give it adhesion. Be careful not to touch the skin or cuticle.
9. Apply a thin coat of Volume Base Clear over the entire nail.
Cure in lamp: UV/LED - 60 sec / UV - 2 min.
10. Apply a thin layer of Volume Base Clear to the cuticle area of the Soft Gel Nail Tip and without drying, apply a small ball of the same product to the same cuticle area of the tip.
TRUCOM24 : Do not add too much base to prevent bubbles from appearing and to avoid adhesion problems.
11. Place the tip at an angle from the cuticle area towards the rest of the nail, checking that no bubbles appear. If they do, remove the tip and repeat the process.
Cure in lamp: UV/LED – 60 sec / UV – 2 min while pressing the tip.
If necessary, remove any excess product with a brush and dry again under the lamp.
12. File the tip to adjust it to the nail and eliminate any imperfections.
13. Buff the nail with the buffing block to improve adhesion.
14. Base: Apply a new layer of the desired Volume Base to give volume and strength to the nail. Cure in lamp: UV/LED – 60 sec / UV – 2 min.
15. Color: Apply a thin layer of the desired color.
Cure in lamp: UV/LED – 60 sec / UV – 2 min.
16. Color: Apply a second coat of color to give a perfect finish and more intensity. If it is too thick the color may wrinkle in the lamp.
Cure in lamp: UV/LED – 60 sec / UV – 2 min.
17. Final shine: Apply a coat of the desired finishing top coat. Remember that it is important to seal the tips well to ensure the durability of the manicure.
Cure in lamp: UV/LED – 60 sec / UV – 2 min.
If the finisher has a dispersion layer, clean it with Cleaner and you're done!

Soft Gel nails typically last between 2-4 weeks. The length of a Soft Gel manicure will largely depend on how fast your natural nail grows. If done well, Soft Gel nails can last up to 4 weeks without any maintenance or touch-ups.

To finish a manicure with Soft Gel Nail Tip we can use the following glitters:
Crystal Top Gel: Extra shiny and long-lasting top coat, without sticky layer. Prevents nails from staining or yellowing.
Base & Gloss : permanent lamp-drying polish gloss with a sticky layer.
Top Gloss : permanent nail polish gloss that dries under a lamp with a sticky layer (ideal for light colours).
Diamond Gloss : finishing gloss with fine diamond glitter sparkles, ideal for any permanent, gel or acrylic nail polish colour. Once dried in the lamp, it does not leave an excess layer.
Matt Top Coat : velvety effect finisher to apply over any gel, acrylic or permanent polish color.
First option: Filling: First, remove the gloss layer and the colour with an electric lathe or 80/80 grit file. If there are no air bubbles, you can fill it as if you were using any other technique. If you find air pockets, you will have to remove the product completely.
Second option: Remove the product completely: We will start by cutting the Soft Gel Nail Tip with a tip cutter to make it easier to remove. Next, we will remove the layer of shine and color with an electric drill or file. We will add Premium Remover to the manicure bowl and we will put our hand inside and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. After this time, we will use a cuticle pusher to remove the product that has softened and we will file off the excess product that has remained on the natural nail with a file or drill.
